Community and Information

Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join KW CultureCamp.

When you come, be prepared to share with CultureCampers.

When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world.

Citizenship Through Participation

Attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one, or otherwise volunteer / contribute in some way to support the event. All sessions are scheduled the day of KW CultureCamp. Prepare in advance, but come early to get a slot on the wall. The people present at the event will select the sessions they want to see. Multiple sessions will take place at the same time. If you don't like a session, leave and join another.

Presenters are responsible for making sure that notes/slides/audio/video of their presentations are published on the web. KW CultureCamp organizers can help you put this content up.

Sessions

  • session order is determined by the group
  • when a KW CultureCamper arrives they must register and tell organizers how they are participating
  • if a KW CultureCamper is providing a session, they are provided a card to write their name and session, which is put on the wall
  • sessions are conducted all day, if KW CultureCampers don’t like the content, they can leave and join another sessions
  • sessions will follow a rough guideline of 20 minutes, 5 minutes for discussion, and 5 minutes for the next setup – conversations are encouraged and sessions can continue informally in the main gathering space
  • sessions will be live-blogged and in some cases captured on video
